FITC aims to foster a vibrant, welcoming, and economically robust Ilkeston Town Centre that celebrates its unique heritage and community spirit.
Objectives

Enhance Community Engagement
- Organize regular community events and activities that bring residents together, such as street fairs, farmers markets, cultural festivals, and holiday celebrations.
- Establish a volunteer program that encourages local residents to contribute to town centre initiatives and beautification projects.

- Develop and implement a “Shop Local” campaign to promote the town’s businesses, emphasizing the benefits of local shopping.
- Provide resources and workshops for local business owners on topics such as digital marketing, customer service, and business sustainability.

- Collaborate with local authorities to maintain and enhance public spaces, including parks, streetscapes, and historical landmarks.
- Initiate and support beautification projects such as public art installations, gardening, and cleanliness drives.
