The Friends of Ilkeston Town Centre (FITC) was formed in late 2023 as an initiative to try and help improve the town centre.

We are a local not for profit organisation currently seeking charitable status with the sole purpose to benefit Ilkeston as described in the Objectives.

A small committee of volunteers with chair, secretary and treasurer being elected via an annual general meeting with a wider team of people that meeting every 2 months.

Membership of FITC comes at a nominal charge to cover costs of £20 per person per annum which is reviewed annually. Where membership starts part way through the year this charge may be reduced according to a minimum of £10 depending on when membership starts.

Current costs that are funded through membership include payment for web hosting, room bookings and advertising material.

We are hoping that through seeking charitable status additional funding can be released to FITC to help progression of our Objectives.
