FITC aims to make Ilkeston a more vibrant and interconnected town, looking out for the well-being of the town and the people in it.

EVENTS
To create and put on events for the benefit of everyone in Ilkeston, and promote events that others have created.

To liaise with, and collaborate with, the local council, and councillors from any party, in order to achieve a better Ilkeston.

To meet monthly in order to always be on the front foot in all of our endeavours.

To listen to our members and take forward their concerns and ideas, championing those who do great things for the town.

The Committee are volunteers, and take no recompense for the work put into our cause.
After many years of locals feeling like Ilkeston is on a decline and no longer a community that is desirable to live in, the Friends of Ilkeston Town Centre was formed in 2023 to put the people of Ilkeston back into the heart of the decisions made about the town, back into the heart of the events held in the town, and back into the heart of the community.
The people of Ilkeston have always been the lifeblood of the town, and the people of Ilkeston should always be at the forefront of the progress the town makes.
